FORM: Ordering Access Devices (Fobs, Keys & Remotes)

How to order new or replacement fobs, keys and remotes

The Strata Council sets the procedures for managing access devices, which ESM follows. The time it takes to process an order and the cost vary by complex. The cost typically includes the device and a coding fee and is set by the Strata Council. Payments are made directly to the Strata Company, not to ESM.

If ESM is authorised to hold stock and items are available, we can offer same-day collection or dispatch via registered delivery. If ESM is not authorised to hold stock, we will need to order the device(s) from the applicable supplier. If Strata Council approval is required for each order, we must wait for written consent from the Council before placing the order, which could take additional time. 

ESM manages this process on behalf of the Strata Company and charges a $33.00 fee per device, which is included in the total cost of your order. 


To order an access device:

  1. Complete the form below to request new or replacement device(s).
  2. Only property owners or authorised property managers can request a device. Tenants should contact the property owner or manager to make the request.
  3. The cost of the device is set by your Strata Company, not by ESM. Property owners are responsible for the cost of issuing or replacing devices and will receive a special levy for payment.
  4. You will be notified when your device is ready for pickup at ESM. Please present photo identification, and if someone other than the requester is collecting the device, written authorisation for the collector is required to be presented prior to or at collection.
  5. If you want the device mailed, there is a $16.50 charge for registered post. You will receive a tracking number once it's sent. Please note, ESM can't control delivery times.
