How do I get reimbursed for an emergency expense?

Reimbursement form

Summary

There have been some occasions where an owner may urgently need to get a contractor to site to resolve an issue which if left, may cause further damage to common property.

In these circumstances, owners or property managers may need to arrange for works to be carried out, pay the tax invoice and seek reimbursement.

Examples of this are leaking plumbing pipes and electrical faults. It is important to remember that the paid tax invoice will need to be presented to the Strata Manager to determine if reimbursement can be made. If the cause of the issue is within the unit, the owner will need to wear the cost.

You can click this link to be redirected to the reimbursement page of our website. From here, you can submit a copy of the invoice together with your payment details and the required information. We will then process the request.

Example Case

Oliver was an owner in a small villa style complex in Doubleview.

Over the Easter break he noticed that water was leaking heavily from the copper pipe leading up to the hose tap fitting. This was a common property hose.

Realising that it needed to be fixed, he decided to call a licensed plumber and have the repair carried out immediately. This meant that the common water supply was not being wasted all long weekend.

On the first business day after the long weekend he contacted the Strata Manager. He confirmed that Oliver should submit the request for reimbursement via the on-line form. Oliver received the reimbursement within one week.
